How I
Invest.

The mandate is broad on purpose: private and public markets, equity and credit, the whole capital structure. A family office balance sheet has no style box to defend and no fund clock to beat. It can be the right capital for the deal as the deal actually is.

The work happens before the position exists. Every deal is stressed against the range of futures it might face, including the ones nobody wants to discuss. Sizing follows. The positions that have worked are the ones whose downside I have already modeled.

Diligence Depth

Conviction starts with the downside. I pressure-test unit economics and focus on the few things that would genuinely break the thesis before sizing a position. The quality of the "no" matters as much as the quality of the "yes."

Risk & Governance

Strong governance compounds quietly. Information rights and protective provisions are operating infrastructure, not legal cleanup, and most of the optionality in a deal lives in terms negotiated before close.

Operator Alignment

Management quality is a screen, not a checkbox. The operators I back can explain their unit economics without a deck and treat investor capital as a constraint to respect. The economics have to work, but the people are what make the underwriting hold up.
